If you do not know what “Night Prowler” is it is a band that consists of Chris Ellingson, Taylor Arne, Ethan Markestad, Andy Bergrud, and Beau Buehler. Night Prowler is currently learning new songs for future events in the area. The band is excited to play and thinking about selling t-shirts to the community to advertise. Maddock finishes 2nd at Cando Golf Meet

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

On Tuesday, April 29th, the Maddock Varsity Boys’ Golf Team traveled up to Cando for a day off from school. It was a good day, but really windy, there were gusts up to 40 mph and it didn’t let up any. There were six teams in all that showed up. I’d name them if I knew them, but I don’t. The meet lasted the entire day, we arrived in Cando around 9 a.m. and left at about 4 p.m. At the meet itself, the Maddock team did exceptionally well. Levi Slater placed third in the overall meet out of one billion individual golfers. After the meet, the team stopped at Dairy Queen where Ethan cut in line and got out of there in record time, but most of the team, instead of going to DQ, went to Cenex across the street and loaded up on junk food and pop. I purchased a water and a Canadian Bacon pizza. It was good. When we arrived back at Maddock Public School, everyone got in their cars and went home. The End…

Maddock goes to Fesseden

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

The Maddock High School, grades 7-12, were invited to the Fesseden School to listen to a speaker. When I first heard about this, I thought it was just going to be another boring lecture to sit through, but it was actually very good. It was about a girl that got killed in a school shooting nine years ago. The whole thing sent out a very good message that sometimes people nowadays forget-treat others the way you want to be treated. I think everyone that went enjoyed it. It was sad, but it did have a good message.

Speaker in Fessenden

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

indexbottom_041.gifOn Tuesday, Maddock students in grades 7-12 went to Fessenden to listen to speakers at the Fesseneden school. No one really knew what the presentation was about so when we got there we found out that it was about a girl that was killed in the Columbine shootings and about making the right life choices. One speaker was the girl’s little brother. The speakers talked about not falling into drugs and alcohol and also about being kind to others. The students enjoyed the presentation very much and I’m sure everyone learned something that day.
