NO ROLLERBLADING OR SKATEBOARDING!!!

Friday, February 15th, 2008

This is an outrage. i really hope that this PrivatePurpose building is actually going to keep kids entertained. it’s pretty much the only thing in this town that is actually useful to kids. if you’re bored, you can go there and have fun shooting baskets, petting the cows, or rolling around on a nice big open area out of the twenty below weather. that is if you have a keycode. but, like everything, all good things must come to an end, as has the pleasure of riding your rollerblades or skateboard. on the front door, there has recently been a sign placed that says NO ROLLERBLADING OR SKATEBOARDING. so i hope that everybody in this town loves basketball since that’s all you’re going to be doing in there.

Weather Interferes With Many Events

Thursday, February 14th, 2008

Because of the cold weather and unceasing snow, Maddock Public School ended school early on wednesday and started an hour late on thursday. Many after school activities were postponed as well. One Maddock citizen said, “Wow!” No one else was available for comment at the time.

Reading Month

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

February has been selected as Reading Month in North Dakota. Special Activites centered around the the “Natural Disasters” will be held all month at Maddock School. The goal is to teach students the about the 12 natural disasters that can happen throughout their lifetimes. There will be color days selected for each day to help the children relate to each natural disaster. And on February 29 in celebration of Reading Month the children will get to watch The Wizard of Oz.

Everyone is encouraged to read during reading month, children and adults alike. So during the month of February try to take some time to pick up a book and read it!

That item: the light pole right before the start of the parking lot. The pole was knocked over durning an incident whose culprit will go unnamed for now (though many already know who did it). If you are curious to who done it, just go ahead and pick yourself up a Maddock Pawprints Newspaper. More information is provided on the back page.
